Below is a perfect example of how skewed human thinking can become; a member of PETA requests a memorial for some fish (from foxnews.com)...

An Orange County woman has asked the city of Irvine to erect a sign honoring hundreds of truck crash victims -- who were fish.

About 1,600 pounds of saltwater bass died on Oct. 11 when a container truck hauling them to market got into a three-way crash.

Dina Kourda, a local volunteer with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, wrote the head of street maintenance requesting a sign at the intersection to honor the fish.

Kourda's letter notes that while roadside memorials traditionally honor human beings, she hopes an exception will be made to remind drivers that all animals -- in her words -- "value their lives and feel pain."

Is the story true? Who knows? There is so much bull on the Net now, so much manipulation of data and the media that I suspect nearly everything initially. IF the story is true, then it serves to show how a Materialistic/Evolutionary world view makes humans look foolish.

If true this is nothing more than an attempt at blatant manipulation of public facilities to push an agenda. The fish were on the way to market, where they would be sold and eaten. The request for a sign is to infringe upon human dignity/uniqueness by equivocating a dead fish to a dead person. It is a complete insult to anyone who values human life over a fish. This is the warped mindset of someone who buys into Evolutionary thinking, who equates humans with animals.

Notice there is not a word about the condition of the humans in the crash? From the perspective of the article it doesn't matter what happened to the humans; the fish are what counts.

If people would stop wasting their lives worrying about the fish which supposedly, "value their lives and feel pain," and consider the baby humans in the womb which are aborted, much less the crashed vehicles' human occupants, which value their lives and feel pain, pherhaps this would be a more just and sane world.
