The Word Today is broadcast on radio stations around the world, reaching millions of listeners with the Gospel in their own language.
Distribution of Radios
In 2005, when Pastor Doug visited the mission field in India, he brought back the request of the Christians there for more radios. Inexpensive AM radios cost $5, and D batteries are another dollar. For just $6, a leader in a village receives a radio which can be used to gather the people together to worship and hear the Word of God.
Up to 50 people gather to hear the program. These are the nucleus of a rural church in the countries where The Word Today is broadcast.
The distribution of radios exponentially multiplies the effectiveness of The Word Today. In India alone, millions could hear the Good News of Jesus if only several thousands of radios were distributed. With God's blessing, radio distribution will number in the tens of thousands across the world!
